This year at 6 The Green we are hosting more artists than ever for our second Open Studio as part of Coastal Currents Hastings and St Leonards.
We are excited to be opening our doors to show a wide variety of works from St Leonards and beyond so please do come along! Oh and there will be the best brownies in Sussex in support of St Michael’s Hospice
2/3 September 2017 and 9/10 September 2017: 11.00am–6.00pm.
6 The Green Artists for 2017;
- John Hunt – oil abstracts inspired by landscape and seascape; mixed media/collage using found objects.
- David Reeve – oil paintings and collage inspired by Hastings fishermen’s beach and Dungeness’ seemingly wild and derelict landscape
- Atul Vohora – a painter who lives and works in London. Both joyful and questioning, these paintings are the result of a deep commitment to image making and the complicated business of living.
- Molly Barrett – abstract paintings that transform colour into dynamic, organic forms with a luminescent quality, resonating with cosmic planes and geometric terrains.
There is off road parking, tea and brownies and so many more reasons to come along for a fun day out. Take part in Portrait Corner or simply browse around. Artists will be discussing their work and all are welcome. The Coastal Currents Open Studio trail runs from north to west and south and east so don’t miss out and join us all in St Leonards at 6 The Green. The place to be and the place to see.
6 The Green is a house in transformation. Follow the project over time on our website.
